BASEBALL
Centennial 14, Durango 10: Tim Wheeler went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, Julius Rivera was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and J.C. Leach went 2-for-4 with three RBIs to lead the Bulldogs, who scored 13 runs in the game's first three innings and held on from there. Danny Kelly and Don Sutton both homered for the Blazers, who also got three hits apiece from Kelly and Casey McDonald in the loss.
Mojave 4, Desert Pines 2: Mat Ellis struck out six in a complete-game win and John Culver went 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs for the Rattlers.
Foothill 14, Valley 2: Ricky Cerrone tossed a four-hitter and Jabe Beard went 3-for-4 with five RBIs for the Falcons.
Cimarron-Memorial 10, Western 0: Jared Johnson threw a five-inning shutout and Matt Wagner went 3-for-3 with a pair of runs to lead the Spartans.
Bonanza 11, Chaparral 2: Keith Beall and Kameron Francom combined on a one-hitter, Billy Osgood went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs and Dustin Molisee scored three runs for the Bengals.
Eldorado 11, Clark 1: Joe Cormier drove in four runs and tripled, Marcel Benson homered and James Green and Jason Workman each went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI for the Sundevils.
Basic 16, Las Vegas 12: Brian Lake went 5-for-5 with three RBIs and Leland Montoya went 2-for-4 with five RBIs as the Wolves outlasted the Wildcats.
Desert Classic
Columbus (Fla.) 5, Silverado 0: Alfred Zayes held the Skyhawks to one hit, striking out 10 and walking two batters.
Silverado 12, La Jolla (Calif.) 2: Ryan Castellanos, Tyler Coon, Erik Gertz and Allan Miller had two hits apiece for Silverado, which also got a four-hitter from Chris Gloria on the mound.
Green Valley 9, Alameda (Calif.) 4: Kyle Price went 2-for-3 with three runs, John Berg went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Evan Pisciuto drove in three runs for the Gators.
Green Valley 4, Hialeah (Fla.) 1: Taylor Morris tossed a complete-game four-hitter with eight strikeouts to lead the Gators to their third win of the tournament. Brian Sizemore, Kevin Day and Jesse McCulloch all were 2-for-3 for the victors.
Bishop Gorman 6, Palo Verde 1: Russ Warthen struck out nine batters in a complete-game win, Anthony Garcia, Blake Wilson tripled and Chris Siewart doubled for the Gaels.
SOFTBALL
Las Vegas 3, Basic 2, 8 innings: Wildcat Marsha Rollins drove in sister Marcy Rollins with a two-out single in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Silverado 13, Desert Pines 0: Casey Koenig had a grand slam and Kelly Griego struck out nine batters for the Skyhawk win.
Centennial 11, Durango 3: Ashleigh McBeath went 2-for-4 with three RBIs to lead the Bulldogs to victory.
Bonanza 1, Palo Verde 0, 10 innings: Alicia Beuter singled and scored on a three-base error for the game's only run. Beuter and Panthers pitcher Renee DiPuccio each finished with 12 strikeouts.
Eldorado 3, Clark 1: Brently Bridgeforth fanned 13 batters in a three-hitter and Jill Thompson and April Keith each drove in a run to lead the Sundevils.
Sierra Vista 6, Cheyenne 1: The Mountain Lions won despite being out-hit 8-4. Jessica Wadsworth had two hits for Sierra Vista.

Centennial def. Cheyenne, 15-2, 15-7, 15-1: Casey Evans had 10 kills and Daniel Wright dished out 25 assists for the Bulldogs.
Durango def. Sierra Vista, 15-8, 15-13, 13-15, 12-15, 15-5: The Blazers got 35 assists from Ken Huffman, 12 kills and 11 blocks from Neal Aboul-Hosn and 15 kills and 14 digs from Ken Huffman. Chad Waldron had 37 assists and Chris Trillo and Garrett Callender added 10 kills apiece for the Lions.
