The Steelworkers union said Thursday it reached an agreement with the Flamingo Hilton-Laughlin for its first contract there representing 900 hotel-casino workers.
The union, which was initially rejected by Flamingo-Laughlin hotel workers in July 1993, won a second election in April 1999, capping a six-year battle with management before the National Labor Relations Board to represent workers at the Park Place Entertainment Corp.-owned property.
The union said the contract provides workers with improved benefits and guaranteed wage hikes.
Park Place officials could not be reached for comment.
