Leroy Augustus Badie, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 8, 1917, in New Orleans. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired casino assistant shift manager.
He is survived by one daughter, Shirley McKennery of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Ruth M. Beecher
Ruth M. Beecher, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 20, 1922, in Hunt County, Texas. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired food server.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Marie Case of Little Rock, Ark.; two sons, Jerry Ramsey and Larry Ramsey, both of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will be private.

Katherine Connell, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Germany. A resident for one year, she was a cook.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Dennis Connell; and one daughter, Claire DeVore.

Helen Louise Crouse, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Chicago. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker, a member of Moose Lodge 4 in Chicago and the American Cancer Society.
She is survived by her husband, Howard; two daughters, Kathleen O'Brein of Chicago and Barbara O'Brein of Las Vegas; one sister, Lila Furzland of Wisconsin; and 11 grandchildren.

He is survived by five sons, Alexander, Arturo, Arthur, Art and Zachary; four daughters, Becky, Maria, Sherry and Susan; two brothers, Manuel and Isidro; and 20 grandchildren.

Roger Doobrovo, 67, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 10, 1934, in Las Vegas. A resident for nine years, he was a retired real estate agent.
He is survived by his companion, Martha Chadwick of Henderson; two sons, Martin Doobrovo of Santa Fe, N.M., and Steven Stinson of Cape May, N.J.; one daughter, Susan Stinson of California; and three grandchildren.

June Marie Drake, 85, of Henderson died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born July 4, 1916, in Newton, Mass. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired actress and more recently worked for Hallmark Cards.

Ethel Lynn Duckworth, 87, of Henderson, died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Sept. 23, 1914, in San Jose, Calif. A resident for 51 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Frank Weith of El Cajon, Calif.; one daughter, Dorothy Wilson of Henderson; one sister, Margaret Mathes of Fallon; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Arrie Lee Erving, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 27, 1927, in Arizona. A resident for 10 years, she was a school district cook and a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one son, Fred Hogan of Las Vegas; three daughters, Flossie James of California and Erma Rue and Rosetta Thomas, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Florine Howard of Fort Worth, Texas, and Christine Blanks of Washington state; 19 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy V. Gelhart
Dorothy V. Gelhart, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 21, 1934, in Delia, N.M. A resident for 39 years, she was a retired special education teacher, a 1973 UNLV graduate and member of the Dean's List, a member of Alpha Delta Kappa sorority and taught Sunday School at the Salvation Army.
She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda L. Gelhart-Bradshaw of Caliente; two sons, Randall L. Gelhart of Las Vegas and Rodney S. Gelhart of Lompoc, Calif.; one sister, Patsy J. Roberts of Grandview, Wash.; one half-brother, Don L. Jordan of Weston, Colo.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Marjorie Golimowski, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 18, 1925, in Wisconsin. A resident for 10 months, she was an employee of the Milwaukee County School Board.
She is survived by two sons, Gregory Golimowski and Edmund Golimowski; two daughters, Joan Garrett and Janine Grunwald; one brother, Vincent Berti; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Prentice Goodwin, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 6, 1941, in Whittier, Calif. A resident for four years, he was a retired guard for an armored car company and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Hedi; two sons, Peter Goodwin of Bloomington, Ind., and Richard Goodwin of Jeffersonville, Ind.; one daughter, Alisa Goodwin of Washington, D.C.; his mother, E. Joy Goodwin of Las Vegas; two brothers, Bill Goodwin of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Wilson Goodwin of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Kamp W. Grundmeyer, 88, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 31, 1913, in Albert Lea, Minn. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired civil service contractor, a World War II Marine Corps veteran, a life member of Elks Lodge 1440 in Las Vegas and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; one daughter, Kam Valentine of Aurora, Colo.; one son, Steve Grandmeyer of Reno; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Dick Andrew Halverson, 58, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 4, 1943, in Springville, Utah. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a pest control service.
He is survived by five sons, Kevin Dick Halverson and Blake R. Halverson, both of Salt Lake City, Richard M. Halverson and Damon A. Halverson, both of Las Vegas, and Gregory W. Halverson of North Adams, Mass.; his mother, Doris Halverson of Mapleton, Utah; two brothers, Boyd Halverson of Richfield, Utah, and Joe Halverson of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Barbara Kessel of Mapleton and Rosemarie Steel of Arkansas; and nine grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Hamilton and Darren J. Hamilton; one daughter, Michelle Sheree Hamilton; mothers, Ruby Price and Gertrude Hamilton; and one brother, C.W. Hamilton.

Thomas H. Holevas Sr., 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 18, 1920, in Seattle. A resident for four years, he was a retired musician.

He is survived by one son, Carl H. Olsen III; two daughters, Linda of Washington state and Nancy; and two sisters, Esther Doherty of Las Vegas and Marie Moore of Omaha.

Marian Polinsky, 88, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born May 10, 1913, in St. Louis. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired co-owner and operator of a dry cleaning plant, a member of Hadassah and Pioneer Women.
She is survived by one daughter, Helene Unger of Henderson; one son, Robert Polinsky of Houston; two sisters, Bess Fine and Ida Kessler, both of St. Louis; one brother, Sam Raden of Dallas; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in San Jose, Calif. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling private arrangements.

She is survived by one daughter, Danna Bradley; two sons, William Price and Nicholas Price; her parents, Lewis and Judith Beatrice Moss of North Las Vegas; three sisters, Sulinda Schulty and Judice Moss, both of Las Vegas, and Victoria Newman of Manchester, N.H.; and two brothers, William Moss of Las Vegas and Terry Moss of Pittsburgh.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; two sons, Gary Sayre of Henderson and Kenneth Sayre of Pahrump; one daugher, Marilynn Walden of Henderson; one sister, Elizabeth Riley of Bridgeton; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley; one daughter, Nancy Hall of Beaverton; and one grandchild.
