Letter: Don’t rob us of magical moments
Wednesday, April 3, 2002 | 8:44 a.m.
Last week Americans mourned the loss of Dudley Moore. He was a comic actor who made us laugh in "Arthur," and was a skilled pianist.
How fortunate we are that Mr. Moore was born at a time that killing unborn children was not as prevalent as today. If his mother had killed him to "spare him future problems" because of his deformed left foot, we would have missed many magical moments.
I hope that in America's quest for convenience and comfort, we have not killed future geniuses, scientists, peacemakers and laughmakers.
Goodbye and peace be unto you, Mr. Moore.
