UNLV baseball KOs Sun Devils

The UNLV baseball team upset No. 16 Arizona State 11-7 on Monday night at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. The win was the first over a ranked opponent this season as the Rebels improved to 15-16, while the Sun Devils fell to 20-11.
Reliever Ben Scheinbaum (2-0) earned the win for UNLV, giving up one run on one hit in two innings. Starter David Seccombe pitched five innings, but left the game with a 5-4 deficit. He gave up four earned runs on seven hits with six strikeouts.
Jeremy Weinberg and Joe Maruffi pitched an inning each to close out the game.
Reigning MWC Player of the Week Brent Johnson continued to impress, going 4-for-4 with two RBIs and five runs scored.
Sun Devil first baseman Jeremy West of Las Vegas went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
