A Metro Police officer was in fair condition this morning at University Medical Center after he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and wrecked on U.S. 95 Wednesday morning.
Traffic Officer Frank Glasper, 46, underwent surgery Wednesday night as a result of the wreck, in which he slid into a concrete barrier. The accident occurred about 6:45 a.m. on northbound 95 east of the Las Vegas Boulevard exit, police said.
Witnesses told police Glasper was attempting to avoid another vehicle, which was veering into his travel lane, police said.
