Letter: There is no time for peace now
Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001 | 9 a.m.
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to love, a time to hate, a time of war and a time of peace.
And this is a time for war. I see the college students around the country are starting anti-war rallies and give-peace-a-chance songs.
Wouldn't it be nice if we all could live in their little make-believe world, where there is no hate, no war and everything is love and peace?
But on Sept. 11, more than 6,000 people were killed in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. I think the youngest was 6 years old. To do nothing is to invite more attacks on our country and many more will die.
