Martha Adkisson
Martha Adkisson, 88, of Brisbane, Calif., died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 16, 1913, in Roundup, Mont. She was a retired private school teacher and a member of the Brisbane Garden Club.
She is survived by one son, Charles Adkisson of Las Vegas; one sister, Alice Hanley of Roundup; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday and noon until 2 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Marguerite Buchanan
Marguerite Buchanan, 71, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 7, 1929, in Missouri. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired ceramics instructor at the Blind Center.
She is survived by three sons, Louis Hampton of Vancouver, Wash., Clifford Hampton of Medford, Ore., and Kent Hampton of Aumsville, Ore.; one sister, Judy Irving of Victorville, Calif.; two brothers, Harold Whitney of Turner, Ore., and Bill Whitney of Mill City, Ore.; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the LDS Hollywood Chapel, 1825 N. Hollywood Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the LDS chapel, 1825 N. Hollywood Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89115.
John Thomas 'Bud' Burchell
John Thomas "Bud" Burchell, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. He was born Jan. 5, 1918, in Trenton, N.J. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired roofer in Las Vegas and New Jersey and a member of Roofers Local 162 and Local 30.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Joseph Burchell of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., and Donald Burchell of Lakeworth, Fla.; five daughters, Anna Mobely of Newark, Ark., Jane Scarlett of Las Vegas, Barbara Ann Herman of Atlantic City, N.J., Evelyn Joan Eaton of Las Vegas and Patricia Jane Marshenke of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling private arrangements.
Jonie D. Camara
Jonie D. Camara, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 27, 1916, in Tonkawa, Okla. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired senior technical analyst for Security Pacific National Bank.
She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie L. McGregor, and one son, William D. Dickey, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Thomas Tuttle Cattell
Thomas Tuttle Cattell, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 23, 1929, in Palo Alto, Calif. A resident for 12 years, he was a chaplain for North Las Vegas Police for 10 years, worked for an electronics manufacturer, was a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the Gideons.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen; two sons, Mark Cattell of Huntington Beach, Calif., and David Cattell of Las Vegas; two daughters, Lorraine Coulter of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Jo Cobb of Arcadia, Calif.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Saturday in Spring Meadows Presbyterian Church, 1600 E. Oakey Blvd. Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling arrangements.
Maurice 'Murry' Cohen
Maurice "Murry" Cohen, 89, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1912, in Cincinnati. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired owner of a real estate and investment company.
He is survived by his wife, Lila; one daughter, Cheryl Lastra of Las Vegas; two sons, David Cohen of Los Angeles and Joel Cohen of Sydney, Australia; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Albert B. Corvino
Albert B. Corvino, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Nov. 20, 1918, in Schenectady, N.Y. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired attendant for the Parks and Street Department and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Joann; one daughter, Charlyne Corvino of Las Vegas; two sisters, Lucy Deganario and Edith Hall, and one brother, Armand Corvino, all of New York state; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Guy N. Craighead
Guy N. Craighead, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A steel worker, he was born June 16, 1935, in Ecorse, Mich.
He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Craighead of Ecorse.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Detroit. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Elizabeth J. Derrick
Elizabeth J. Derrick, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 10, 1932, in Tennessee. A resident for 20 years, she was a ticket saleswoman at Circus Circus.
She is survived by one son, Vincent Jordan; one daughter, Kathleen M. Tippitt; and one grandchild.

Smith Fairchild Sr.
Smith Fairchild Sr., 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 15, 1934, in Blackfoot, Idaho. A resident for 15 months, he retired as a blaster in the mining industry after 35 years.
He is survived by one son, Smith Fairchild Jr. of Las Vegas; two daughters, Victoria Eddington of Beaverton, Ore., and Cathy Salinas of Independence, Ore.; one brother, Clayton Fairchild of Boron, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Maye A. Gregory
Maye A. Gregory, 53, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 21, 1948, in San Diego. A resident for 13 years, she was a hotel PBX operator.
She is survived by her companion, Sandra Love of Henderson; her parents, Marge and Walter Gregory of Chesapeake, Va.; and one brother, Gene Gregory of Windsor, Va.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Harley E. Harmon
Harley E. Harmon, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 21, 1918, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a retired insurance agent, a World War II Navy veteran, chaired the County Commission during the 1950s and 1960s, served as a state assemblyman and president of Nevada State Bank.
He is survived by his wife, Cleo; two sons, Harley L. Harmon and Jeff Harmon, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. with a 6 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Church services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Burial will follow at noon Friday in Palm Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to Harley A. Harmon Elementary School library.
George Daniel Hnatusko
George Daniel Hnatusko, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 14, 1925, in Chicago. A resident for 11 years, he was a dispatcher for Northwest Airlines, a Vietnam War, Korean War and World War II Air Force veteran, a member of the Central Nevada Historical Society, Air Force Sergeants Association, 388th Bomb Group Association, 8th Air Force Historical Society and Friends of U.S. Air Force Museum.
He is survived by one daughter, Cindy Swan of Olympia, Wash.; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Vicky Nicole Jackson
Vicky Nicole Jackson, 26, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 28, 1974, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was an employee in the field of telecommunications.
She is survived by one son, Dwain Cromwell, and one daughter, DeDeishia Cromwell, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Lillie Howard, and her stepfather, Henry Marshall, both of San Bernardino, Calif.; one brother, James Paul Jackson, and two sisters, Sabrina Jackson and Keyanna Jackson, all of Las Vegas.

Benard Jaffe, 77, of Las Vegas died Sept. 10 in Las Vegas. A California hotel security officer and a member of the Masons, he was born Oct. 22, 1923, in Massachusetts.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen.

Donald D. Lang, 67, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 19, 1933, in Great Falls, Mont. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired deputy county assessor, a Korean War Navy veteran and a member of the Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, Maurine; one son, Larry R. Preddy of Amarillo, Texas; his mother, Belva "Tommie" Lang of Henderson; one sister, Rita N. Dorn of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 11:20 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.

James P. Mullins, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1925, in Mystic, Ga. A resident for three years, he was a retired Army master sergeant and World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille G.; one daughter, Brenda Willis of Richmond, Va.; and one stepdaughter, Dr. Lisa A. Washington of Oakland, Calif.

Louie Nguyen, 35, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 26, 1966, in Vietnam. A resident for three years, he was a manicurist.
He is survived by his wife, Helena Lee; one son, Calvin Lee, one daughter, Natalie Lee, and his father, Ma Nguyen, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Dong Vo of Vietnam; two sisters, Trang Nguyen of California and Thuy Nguyen of Vietnam; and three brothers, Tri Nguyen of Las Vegas and Duc Nguyen and Vu Nguyen, both of Vietnam.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
John Morris Oppenheim
John Morris Oppenheim, 56, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 30, 1945, in California. A resident for 3 1/2 years, he was an attorney and an Army veteran.
He is survived by two sisters, Claudia Gardner Seright of San Anselmo, Calif., and his twin, Sandra Alice Oppenheim of Ben Lomond, Calif.

Shirley B. Rogers
Shirley B. Rogers, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 12, 1934, in Lunrnburg, Va. A resident for 15 years, she was a communications specialist for the federal government and a veteran of the Women's Air Force from 1952 to 1955.
She is survived by two sons, Shelley Scott Rogers of Shreveport, La., and Calvin Wayne Rogers of Henderson; four daughters, Debra Jo Hagemann of Emporia, Kan., Donna Kay Broce of Greeley, Kan., Nima Diane Beavis of Hampton, Va., and Tracy Denise Arce of Henderson; two sisters, Murril Kovach of Orlando, Fla., and Queen Weaver of LaMesa, Calif.; one brother, William Barnes of Richmond, Va.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

John Frederick Steiger, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 3, 1916, in Cincinnati. A resident for two years, he was a partner at an automobile dealership, past master at Covina Lodge 335, a member of the Elks for 50 years and a member of the Citrus Shrine, Al Malaikah Temple.
He is survived by one son, John F. Steiger Jr.; and one daughter, Christine Daniels.
