Letter: Falwell’s bigoted words deserve to be ignored
Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001 | 9:05 a.m.
To the people of New York City, the police and firefighters -- and to the rescuers at the Pentagon: You are us, and we are you. What happened to you, happened to all of America and the free world as well.
To those American atheists, gays and lesbians, pro-choice voters, abortion doctors, civil libertarians and liberals, who the so-called Christian Rev. Jerry Falwell blamed for the terrorist attacks, please try to ignore the bigot as a bug stain on a windshield.
