Comedian Jay Leno, host of NBC's "The Tonight Show" and a frequent Las Vegas headliner, will give a free performance at 10 p.m. on Saturday at the MGM Grand.
Leno announced his plans during the Monday taping of "The Tonight Show," saying it was a gesture to help boost business on the Strip.
Leno's free performance will be held in the 1,700-seat EFX Theatre, and is open only to Las Vegas residents and MGM Grand guests. Tickets will be available at the EFX box office on a first-come, first-served basis, from 10 a.m.-noon Thursday and Saturday.
There is a limit of two tickets per person. Those requesting tickets must present a room key from the hotel or a valid Nevada identification card.
"EFX Alive," featuring Rick Springfield, will not perform its usual 10:30 p.m. Saturday show. The 7:30 p.m. performance is still scheduled.
