Jean C. Arnquist
Jean C. Arnquist, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born March 8, 1916, in Kalamazoo, Mich. A resident for 29 years, she was a retired clothing store manager.
She is survived by her husband, Marshall S.; two daughters, Jeanne Sealove of Boulder City and Sally Todoran of Mission Viejo, Calif.; one son, Joseph Auerbach of Lake Forest, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Carol See of Kansas City, Mo.; one stepson, Mark Arnquist of Everett, Wash.; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Dorothy Duhrkopp
Dorothy Duhrkopp, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 11, 1921, in New York. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired casino cashier.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph Racaniello of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Robert Racaniello of Florida; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Sharon Denise Edwards
Sharon Denise Edwards, 30, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. A lifelong resident, she was born July 6, 1971, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her parents, Christine and Willie Edwards, one brother, Willie Edwards III, and two sisters, Vickie Edwards and Crystal Edwards, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-noon Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be private. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Robert Frederick Gray
Robert Frederick Gray, 39, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 5, 1961, in Anchorage, Alaska. A resident for 15 years, he was an Internet travel agent.

Isaac J. King
Isaac J. King, 91, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 4, 1910, in Wilkerson County, Miss. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene; three daughters, Ernestine Whaley, Theresa King and Patricia Watson, all of Las Vegas; four sons, Henry Mason, James King and Roosevelt King, all of Las Vegas, and Joseph King of Los Angeles; four sisters, Rosie Brown and Emma Connors, both of Natchez, Miss., Harriet Geter of Atlanta and Hattie Jones of Des Moines, Iowa; one brother, Richard Glover of New Orleans; 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will be private.

Debra Lamas, 39, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 1, 1962, in North Carolina. A resident for two years, she was a doula
She is survived by her husband, Rudolpho; four daughters, Theresa Runnels of Tampa, Fla., Sierra Runnels and Sophia Runnels, both of Seattle, and Zoe Mooney of Phoenix; two sons, Miles Whiteside of Seattle and Ian Mooney of Phoenix; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 4 p.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Jose V. Romasanta
Jose V. Romasanta, 74, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 7, 1926, in the Philippines. A resident for seven years, he was a retired civil engineer/hydrologist in agriculture and a volunteer at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Aida; three daughters, Sol Allen of Toronto, Maria Luisa McCaffery of Staten Island, N.Y., and Maria Victoria Duggan of North Las Vegas; two sons, Ricardo Romasanta and the Rev. Reynaldo Romasanta, and one brother, Tony Romasanta, all of Manila, Philippines; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Marshall Smith
Marshall Smith, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1919, in San Diego. A resident for two years, he was a retired police officer and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marilyn; one son, Brian Smith of California; one daughter, Sharon Thielman of Las Vegas; one brother, Lawrence Smith, and one sister, Eva Mathews, both of Lancaster, Calif.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Mildred D. 'Grammie' Sparks
Mildred D. "Grammie" Sparks, 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in Henderson. She was born Dec. 24, 1909, in Fairview, Ill. A resident for 52 years, she was a retired Woolworth department store supervisor. She is the grandmother of Henderson Deputy Police Chief Monty Sparks.
She is survived by one son, Gerald Sparks of Dolan Springs, Ariz.; two daughters, Louetta Martin of Dolan Springs and Arlene Bashaw of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 9 a.m. Monday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
Bert P. Thorn Jr.
Bert P. Thorn Jr., 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 11, 1910, in Lincoln, Neb. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired automotive mechanic.
He is survived by two sons, John Thorn of Moses Lake, Wash., and Charles Thorn of Las Vegas; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Donna Marie Vanidestine
Donna Marie Vanidestine, 41, of Boulder City died Friday in Boulder City. She was born Aug. 30, 1960, in Chicago. A resident for 18 years, she was a retail cashier.
She is survived by one cousin, Deborah Fields.

Nancy Waddell
Nancy Waddell, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 1, 1924, in Winchester, Mass. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired EG&G draftsman for the Department of Energy and served on the altar guild of Christ Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband, Freeman; two daughters, Diane Moroski of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Sandy Williams of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one son, Stephen Waddell of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Christ Church Episcopal, 2100 Maryland S. Parkway. Burial will be private.

Nancy Wilder, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 16, 1936, in Cambridge, Mass. A resident for 42 years, she was a real estate escrow officer.
She is survived by her husband, Lee; two sons, Mark D. Wilder of Cedar City, Utah, and David P. Wilder of Henderson; one sister, Sally S. Herrlinger of Cincinnati; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will be private.
