Letter: Get the trains back on track

The time has come to put passenger trains back in service throughout the nation.

There are millions of retirees and other people who have the time and who would be happy to take the train, sit back and relax and watch the countryside roll by.

They could go to the club car for a drink and go to the dining car for a good meal, instead of fighting the hassle at the airport.

This would free up some of the heavy airline traffic and take traffic off our busy highways.

An added bonus would be no worries about skyjacking plane crashes or bus drivers falling asleep.
