Primary Care Centers offering screenings
University Medical Center's Primary Care Centers are providing men 50 and older with discount screenings for prostate cancer Saturday.
Men in high-risk groups, such as blacks or those who have a family history of prostate cancer may choose to begin screening at a younger age. Appointments are required. To schedule an appointment, call one of the following Primary Care Centers:

Opportunity Village fund-raiser scheduled
Opportunity Village will hold its "Miss Kitty's Jeans to Jewels" Western-themed fund-raiser 6 p.m. Saturday at the Bitter Root Ranch near Ann Road and U.S. 95.
The event will feature a silent auction and entertainment by Miguel De Hoyos, Mexico's classical and Flamemco guitarist, and local country band Divided Highway. Food will be provided by Texas Station, and the margaritas will be provided by Border Grill.
The Bitter Root Ranch is home of the largest herd of Texas Longhorn cattle in Southern Nevada. For more information, call 259-3741.
17th annual walk planned for Saturday
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International will host its 17th annual "Walk to Cure Diabetes" 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
The goal is to have over 150 teams walking to raise $400,000 for research to cure diabetes. Funds are raised as walkers ask friends, relatives, and co-workers to sponsor them for participating in the 10K Walk.
Companies can also contribute through corporate sponsorship and through selling "paper sneakers" for $1 to customers.

Greenspun Center to host seminar
An estate planning seminar, "Planning for Life" will be 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence, 100 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite No. 330.
The seminar will be conducted by five women with extensive backgrounds in estate planning:
Harriet H. Roland, a Nevada and California attorney; Marilyn M. Mulhall, a financial representative with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network; Sharon J. McNair, a certified foundation; and Caroline Thomas-Jenson, manager of gift planning at St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation.
