Resident input sought on library
Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001 | 10:45 a.m.
Henderson residents have the chance Friday to help design a proposed library in southwest Henderson.
The Henderson Public Library District will hold a meeting with Galati Architects from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. in the Bristol Room of the Anthem Center on 2450 Hampton Road.
Funding has not been secured to build the Anthem library. Residents in June rejected a tax initiative that would have raised a projected $80 million over 30 years to build and operate six new libraries.
But Del Webb has donated a 2.5-acre site for a library and the district says it is proceeding with its master plan for small, neighborhood libraries.
