SUN CAPITAL BUREAU
CARSON CITY -- Gov. Kenny Guinn's press secretary Jack Finn is leaving the post to go into private business.
Finn is the last of the original executive staff in the Carson City office to depart. He will become public information officer for the law firm of Jones Vargas.
Guinn said Finn has a "great talent and will be missed."
"His hard work and insight helped shape many successes in the past three years," Guinn said.
Prior to working for Guinn, Finn, 35, served as press secretary for then-Rep. John Ensign. He also spent four years as a reporter for KVBC Channel 3 in Las Vegas.
Finn said it has been an honor working for Guinn and "to have a small role in all he accomplished since taking office."
Finn, who will initially be stationed in Reno, will be working with Guinn's former chief of staff, Peter Ernaut, at the law firm.
No replacement has been named. In the interim all press inquiries should be directed to either Bud Cranor in Las Vegas (486-2500) or Brian Catlett in Carson City (684 5670).
