Letter: Hatred masked as devotion
Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001 | 7:41 a.m.
I support my president and government in all efforts to bring to justice the terrorist group that stabbed at the heart of freedom on Sept. 11.
Turn over the cowardly one who hides in your skirts. He would sacrifice his own followers' seemingly worthless lives and use them as kamikaze pilots to commit the ultimate insult by making missiles of United States passenger airliners filled with Americans of all nationalities, striking at American icons. He would also risk your life and integrity and that of entire nations for his own vision. It is a vision driven by hate, masked as religious piousness and fueled by money of which you will earn little.
He really blew it this time. Beware of the dragon that is the passion of those who love the freedoms of America. If I cannot be at the front, my passion is strong and all is directed at my president and the other world leaders right now. Americans are flying their flags in unity and solidarity and speaking passionately in the home and workplace. The palpable energy is formidable and flowing now to President Bush and those in control of the investigation and resolution. Indeed, the collective consciousness of free people and those who wish for freedom is apparent.
