Letter: Finding peace through faith
Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001 | 7:41 a.m.
Today I witnessed a mass murder, not in the color of blood, but in Technicolor.
I wept for those I did not know, and feared for the lives of those who did not show.
I heard the terror of a crashing building. I saw the faces of fear in people whose lives were yielding.
Today was a dark day for this country. But I have faith. I have faith that the guilty party will be prosecuted. I have faith the president will bear this responsibility on both shoulders.
I have faith that those who passed away found peace in all that they saw. And lastly, I have faith that the sun will again shine brightly through the soot-layered clouds.
