Friday, Sept. 14, 2001 | 9:26 a.m.
Approximately 5,000 people temporarily lost power this morning on the northwest side of Las Vegas.
Sonya Headen, Nevada Power spokeswoman, said a fuse bank failed at a substation, causing customers near Craig and Ann roads to lose power at about 7:18 a.m. today.
The equipment was replaced and power was restored by 7:45 a.m., Headen said.
Most of those impacted were residential customers, Headen said.
