Station Casinos Inc. of Las Vegas said the Nevada Gaming Control Board recommended approval of the sale of its slot route subsidiary, Southwest Gaming Inc., to the Blake L. Sartini and Delise F. Sartini Family Trust for $14 million in Station stock.
As part of the deal, Blake Sartini is resigning as Station's executive vice president and chief operating officer. He will remain on the board of directors and as a significant shareholder.
His wife Delise is the sister of Station Chairman Frank Fertitta III. Southwest has some 900 slot machines in operation, primarily in taverns in the Las Vegas area. The Nevada Gaming Commission and the Clark County Liquor and Gaming License Board will next consider the sale.
