Conference postponed

The Nevada Commission on Economic Development has postponed its fifth annual economic development conference, which was scheduled for Thursday and Friday at the Stardust hotel-casino in Las Vegas.
The postponement was due to the difficulty of getting attendees to Las Vegas because of air travel being suspended indefinitely after terrorist attacks, said Bob Shriver, NCED's executive director.
The conference will likely be rescheduled for either October or November, he said.
Shriver said he was expecting 300 to 400 attendees from throughout Nevada and guest speakers from all over the United States.
