Sport: Volleyball
Currently: The Miners' starting setter and team captain, Gronert ranks fourth on the school's all-time list with 1,714 assists. She has played in 82 matches during her four-year career, starting 46 and amassing 50 or more assists 11 times. Already in 2001, Gronert has racked up 226 assists in seven matches, along with 51 digs and 23 kills for 3-4 UTEP.
Looking back: A three-year letter winner, Gronert led the Gators to back-to-back large-school state volleyball titles in 1995 and 1996, her final two seasons. She earned all-conference honors both years, and was selected Southern Nevada's MVP as a senior. Gronert also earned four letters in track and holds GV's discus record.
