Arvelle J. Abington-Nunnelly
Arvelle J. Abington-Nunnelly, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 18, 1930, in West Virginia. A resident for 47 years, she was a university custodian.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph Bradshaw and Vincent Hutton, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Carol Lang of Moreno Valley, Calif.; one brother, Benjamin F. Abington of San Francisco; three sisters, Johnetta Mosley of Las Vegas, Patricia Robinson of San Diego and Sharon Hamlin of Portland, Ore.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.
Thomas W. Bigley
Thomas W. Bigley, 61, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 5, 1939, in Fallsington, Pa. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired electrician and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; one son, Sean Bigley of Las Vegas; one brother, Donald W. Bigley of Clarksville, Tenn.; one sister, Maryann Wyckoff of Washington Crossing, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.

Mary Lou Biordi
Mary Lou Biordi, 70, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 9, 1931, in Ellwood City, Pa. A resident for five years, she was a retired nursing home nurse and administrator.
She is survived by her husband, John Sr.; two daughters, Donna Maria Bullio of Des Plaines, Ill., Marcia L. Brown of Lake Villa, Ill.; two sons, John Anthony Biordi Jr. of Round Lake Heights, Ill., and Richard A. Biordi of Chicago; one brother, Ronald A. Alfonso of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Wilson L. Boyer
Wilson L. Boyer, 93, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born Sept. 25, 1907, in Mullen, Neb. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired railroad switchman.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; two daughters, Colleen Bennett of Atlanta and Carol Bruso of Henderson; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled until 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
Elizabeth Nelson Cafferata
Elizabeth Nelson Cafferata, 83, of Boulder City died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 19, 1918, in New Jersey. A resident for two years, she was a retired from corporate ticket sales.
She is survived by two nieces, Laurie Van Diest of Boulder City and Cathy Johnson of Bainbridge Island, Wash.
Services will be 3 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
John Doodakian
John Doodakian, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Chicago. A resident for 28 years, he was a poker dealer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; two sons, Aram and Michael, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lizabeth of West Hollywood, Calif.; one brother, Henry of Chicago; and one grandchild.

Philip L. DuFour
Philip L. DuFour, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. He was born May 10, 1929, in Fort Kent, Maine. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired carpenter and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Naves, and two sons, Kevin DuFour and Allan DuFour, all of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be noon Saturday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Tom Urban Engelman
Tom Urban Engelman, 80, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 7, 1921, in Los Angeles. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired vice president of public relations for MGM and Bally's.
He is survived by his wife, June; one son, Thomas Engelman of Kirkland, Wash.; two daughters, Pat D'Angelo and Teresa Johnstonbaugh, both of Mission Viejo, Calif.; one sister, Betty Hanson of Lewiston, Idaho; and eight grandchildren.

Marie Naff Feauto
Marie Naff Feauto, 47, of Henderson died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 31, 1954, in Seattle. A resident for 15 years, she was a paralegal.
She is survived by her parents, Bernadette and John Peasley of Henderson; and two brothers.

Dorothy L. Hernandez
Dorothy L. Hernandez, 75, of Pahrump died Monday in Pahrump. She was born Oct. 4, 1925, in Hurricane, Utah. A resident for 28 years, she was a waitress.
She was preceded in death by one son, Willard Spychalski.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan DeLashmutt of California and Sally Murphy of Pahrump; one son, Edward Spychalski of Arizona; one sister, Carrole Helman of Colorado; four brothers, Alan Lehr of California, John Lehr of Oklahoma, Gene Lehr of New Mexico and Don Tait of Utah; 34 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 7-9 p.m. today in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Saturday in the LDS chapel in Pahrump.
Philip Hoff
Philip Hoff, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born July 4, 1922, in New York City. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired medical supplies salesman and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; one daughter, Debra Longo, and one son, Neil Hoff, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Esther Cohen of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, followed by graveside services in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the National Kidney Foundation of Nevada, 4100 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas, NV 89121, or the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Victor Jin-Kun Kao
Victor Jin-Kun Kao, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 5, 1930, in China. A resident for more than 20 years, he was an electrical worker.
He is survived by two brothers, Robert Kao of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Donald Kao of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; and one sister, Ruth Ling of Pottsville, Pa.

Mark David Jerome Maloney
Mark David Jerome Maloney, 63, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born May 22, 1938, in Hibbing, Minn. A resident for four years, he was a maintenance mechanic for Erie Mining Co. in Hoyt Lakes, Minn.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; two sons, Mark T. Maloney of Alexandra, Minn., and Major David J. Maloney of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, June E. Maloney of Rocklin, Calif., and Michelle M. Wick of Big Lake, Minn.; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled at 10 a.m. today in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Gloria C. Mancini
Gloria C. Mancini, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 8, 1923, in Illinois. A resident for 22 years, she was a hair and beauty consultant.
She is survived by one son, Michael Mancini.

Gertrude Matthews
Gertrude Matthews, 95, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 5, 1906, in Carthage, N.C. A new resident, she was an assembly line worker in the aviation industry.
She is survived by one daughter, Guyreen Barnett of Philadelphia; one sister, Meade McDonald of Carthage; two grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be in held in Philadelphia, where she was a longtime resident. Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling arrangements.
Ida B. McCann
Ida B. McCann, 94, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born Sept. 7, 1906, in Indian Territory, Okla. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene McCann, and Elwyn McCann of Sapula, Okla.; two daughters, Eunice Lampson of Las Vegas and Evelyn Welch of Myrtle Creek, Ore.; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be in California. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Ann Morris
Ann Morris, 59, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 7, 1942, in Philadelphia. A resident for four years, she was a retail merchandiser and a member of the Sahara-Elizabeth Circle Christian Women's Association.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald F.; and one brother, John Griffiths.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Tuesday in First Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., with a reception following the services. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Chris Peterson
Chris Peterson, 76, of Arlington, Texas, died Monday in an Arlington medical center. He was born July 11, 1925, in Broken Bow, Neb. A former Las Vegas resident for five years, he was a retired carpenter and a former member of the Moose in Las Vegas.
He is survived by two daughters, Grace Logsdon of El Paso, Texas, and Nicole Ondriezek of Newhall, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Dorothy J. Puhl, 76, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born May 19, 1925, in Quincy, Ill. A resident for six years, she was a retired technician for a psychiatric office.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Marsh of Las Vegas and Susan Heron of Pahrump; one son, Mike Puhl of Adelanto, Calif.; one sister, Sharon Riley of Cartersville, Ga.; one brother, Ralph Saeger of Missouri; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Daniel 'Ricky' Romero
Daniel "Ricky" Romero, 22, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 24, 1979, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a construction foreman.
He is survived by his parents, Blanca and Pablo Romero, two sisters, Lore Curtis and Krystal Romero, and one brother, Juan P. Romero, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Maria Patterson of Las Vegas and Guadalupe Orozco and Eleno Romero, both of Odessa, Texas.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Steve Senkiw
Steve Senkiw, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 11, 1928, in Detroit. A resident for 15 years, he was a truck driver and a World War II Army paratrooper.
He is survived by his mother, Dora Senkiw of Warren, Mich.; and one brother, Walter Senkiw of Sterling Heights, Mich.

Arnold Sesko
Arnold Sesko, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 14, 1923, in Ohio. A resident for 31 years, he was a grocery warehouseman and a Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by one son, Michael David Sesko of Maryville, Wash.; one daughter, Cheri Morris of San Fernando, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by five sons, Mark, Keith, Edward, Barry and Brian; and 10 grandchildren.

Mary Jean "M.J." Venditti, 51, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1949, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 24 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Gina Venditti, one son, Tommy Venditti, her mother, Jean DiMaria, and two sisters, Lucy Juliano and Patrice DiMaria, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Al DiMaria of Jupiter, Fla., and Sam DiMaria of Palm City, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive.
Francis H. Werme
Francis H. Werme, 82, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born April 3, 1919, in Massachusetts. A resident for seven years, he was a security guard at the Nevada Test Site, a Navy veteran and a member of the Pearl Harbor Association.
He is survived by three sons, Frank Werme of Santa Fe, N.M., Bruce Werme of Pahrump and Karl Werme of Oregon; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
