First it had a new Christmas Day date. Now the Las Vegas Bowl has a new name.
Sega Sports announced this morning that it will be the title sponsor for the Las Vegas Bowl for the next two years. Terms were undisclosed.
The Sega Sports Las Vegas Bowl, which will kick off at 12:30 p.m. on Christmas Day and will be televised by ABC, will feature the No. 2 team from the Mountain West Conference against the No. 5 team from the Pac-10 Conference. Each school is guaranteed a $800,000 payout.
UNLV defeated Arkansas, 31-14, in last year's Las Vegas Bowl.
