Ruth Bunker

Ruth Bunker, 87, of Clark County died Monday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 22, 1914, in Bunkerville. A lifetime Southern Nevada resident, she was a homemaker and a pianist/organist.

She is survived by three sons, Keith Bunker of Henderson, Robert Bunker of Sacramento and Charles Bunker of Sandy, Utah; one daughter, Barbara Belt of Henderson; one brother, Raoul Leavitt of Overton; five sisters, Iris Haworth of Warm Springs, Ivie Williams and Jane Jones, both of Overton, and Irene Hunt and Laurea Rodgers, both of Overton; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10-10:45 a.m. Thursday in the LDS Bunkerville chapel. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Irene Caravella

Irene Caravella, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 7, 1920, in Hindrick, Oklahoma. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired retail clerk.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen Emery of Fresno, Calif.; one sister, Delia Turner of Hindrick; her companion, Jack Hildum of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

William F. Couture

William F. Couture, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 29, 1930, in Grossepointe, Mich. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired housekeeping supervisor and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Vera; two daughters, Diane Morley of Las Vegas and Angela Couture of Los Angeles; three sons, William S. Couture of Surrey, Great Britain; Jeffrey C. Couture of Las Vegas; Jon N. Couture of Mount Kisco, N.Y.; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be 6 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services are private. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Blanche Helen Dano

Blanche Helen Dano, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 11, 1912, in California. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Gaudencio, and two daughters, Anita Austin and Maria Holton, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Lorna Caboang of California; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Faith Chapel, 2570 Duneville St. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Hazel Devilbiss

Hazel Devilbiss, 87, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1913, in Illinois. A resident for 28 years, she was a retired department store salesperson and active in the Henderson Senior Center.

She is survived by her husband, Leo; two stepdaughters, Joy Anderson of Salem, Ore., and Jeanie Love of Atlantic, Iowa; two stepsons, James Mosley of Keizer, Ore., and Richard Devilbiss of Salem; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the Henderson Senior Center, 27 Texas Ave., Henderson.

George G. Dexter

George G. Dexter, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 30, 1923, in Williamston, Mich. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired education administrator and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Cathy Groves of Burbank, Calif., Jan Dexter and Susan O'Connell, both of Las Vegas; one son, Gregg Dexter of Long Beach, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Judy Brockett of Las Vegas; one stepson, Chuck Coons of Westland, Mich.; two sisters, Elaine Dunckel of Lansing, Mich., and Helen Hoag of Westland, Mich.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Verona 'Nony' Foltz

Verona "Nony" Foltz, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 6, 1922, in Eau Claire, Wis. A resident for 55 years, she was a retired supervisor for the county clerk's office.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Delgado and Sandra Brannum, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Ethelmae Jackson of Boise, Idaho; one brother, Aubrey Olson of Eau Claire; and two grandchildren.

No services are scheduled. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.

Gayee Lee Greene

Gayee Lee Greene, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 8, 1942, in Glendale, Calif. A resident for eight years, she was a marketing director in the lighting and supply industry.

She is survived by her husband, William; one son, Jeffrey Greene of Los Angeles; one brother, John Jordahl of Sylmar, Calif.; her father and stepmother, Randall and Melba Evans Jordahl of Fresno, Calif.

Bonita Yvonne Hatcher-Armstrong

Bonita Yvonne Hatcher-Armstrong, 43, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 9, 1958, in Pineville, La. A resident for 10 years, she was a customer service representative for Nevada Power.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; one daughter, Ariel Dominque Armstrong, three sons, Sir Lawrence Dewayne Armstrong, Malcolm Rashaad Armstrong and Joel Emmanuel Armstrong, all of Las Vegas; her mother, Mary C. Hatcher of Jena, La.; five brothers, Jase Hatcher of Alexandria, La., Charles Hatcher of Los Angeles, Levi Hatcher of Macon, Miss., Robert Hatcher of Darien, Ill., and Sherman Hatcher of Las Vegas; and nine sisters, Maxine Hughes of Los Angeles, Josephine Washington of Spring, Texas, Millicent Demps of Pensocola, Fla., Jenny Reed of Jackson, Miss., and Louise Jordan, Elizabeth Craven, Mary Walker, Theresa Walls and Carolyn Oats, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Victory Missionary Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Richard A. Jenkins, 55, died Oct. 24 in Las Vegas. Born May 7, 1946, in Oregon, he was a laborer.

Willie Clyde Juniel

Willie Clyde Juniel, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Fordyce, Ark. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired airport sky cap and a member of the Fordyce Club.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; one daughter, Sharla Juniel, two sisters, Georgia Harris and Katie McHenry, and one brother, Hayward Juniel, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in New Bethel Baptist Church, 400 W. Adams St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Tony Lappa

Tony Lappa, 75, of Las Vegas died Oct. 25 in Las Vegas. He was born April 15, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, he was a dock worker for a trucking company and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two sons, Michael of Chicago and Robert Anthony of Connecticut; one sister, Irene Rouba of Chicago; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Veda Louise Mitlyng

Veda Louise Mitlyng, 89, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 6, 1912, in Hartley, Iowa. A resident for four years, she was a retired teacher.

She is survived by three sons, Errol Mitlyng of Dallas, Allan Mitlyng of Las Vegas and Richard Mitlyng of Anacortes, Wash.; one daughter, Marcia Kohn of Ada, Mich.; three sisters, Dorothy Jorgenson of Montevideo, Minn., Ernest Rottunda of Granite Falls, Minn., Henry Rottunda of Sioux City, Iowa, and Ted Rottunda of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Hallie W. Pless, 86, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born July 26, 1915, in Lake City, S.C. A resident for nine years, she was a retired grocery store clerk.

She is survived by one daughter, Sheila Coyne of Las Vegas; one brother, William Brown of Charlotte, N.C.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 3 p.m. memorial service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite hospice.

Joseph P. Rheinecker

Joseph P. Rheinecker, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 9, 1923, in Rockwood, Ill. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired electrician for a chemical plant company, World War II Army veteran and a member of the Moose and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Vonda; five daughters, Patrician Ann Newman of Elkville, Ill., Debra Kay Abel of Duquoin, Ill., Rhonda Faye Wyatt of Metropolis, Ill., and Joyce Elaine Morris and Paula Lynn Cowan, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Larry Rheinecker of Las Vegas and Dennis Rheinecker of East Carondelet, Ill.; one brother, George William Rheinecker of Chester, Ill.; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Raymond Eugene Sanders, 54, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born April 17, 1947, in Bakersfield, Calif. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lily; one son, Raymond Sanders Jr. of Lancaster, Calif.; one daughter, Kathryn Sanders of San Bernardino, Calif.; one brother, Richard Sanders, and one sister, Alice Warner, both of Bakersfield; and 10 grandchildren.

Willard J. Schneider, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 2, 1923, in Niles Center, Ill. A resident for seven years, he was a retired plaster company owner and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife; Anna; one daughter, Christina Fehrman of Laguna Hills, Calif.; two sons, Michael Schneider of Rockport, Mo., and Paul Schneider of Barrington, Ill.; one sister, Virginia Unger of Glenview, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Jessica Lee Smith, 21, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 27, 1980, in Ames, Iowa. A resident for seven years, she was a magazine saleswoman.

Rosenhan of Las Vegas; her father, Randy Smith of Westminster, Calif.; three sisters, Melissa Sabater of Westminster, Tiffany Rosenhan and Tommie Anne Rosenhan, both of Glenborough, Ohio; two brothers, Rafael Maldanado and Randy Smith, both of Westminster; her stepfather, Thomas Rosenhan of Las Vegas; her stepmother, Debbie Smith; her grandparents, Jeary and Bill Schell of Hibbing, Minn., Ron and Terri Smith, both of Somerset, Calif., Dixie Stiltz of Detroit, Mich., and Arvon and Barbara Rosenhan of Salt Lake City; her great-grandmother, Antonia Draper of Salt Lake City; and her fiance, Daniel Roberts of Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Howard; three sons, Dan Spurlock of Seneca, Ill., Allen Spurlock of Las Vegas and Joseph Spurlock of Willington, Ill.; two sisters, Dorothy Leonard of Dunnilin, Fla., Mary Ann Johnson of Netarts, Ore; one brother, Raymond Stephenson of Burrwin, Ill; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Eleni Stavropoulou, 89, of Las Vegas died Oct. 19 in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 13, 1911, in Athens, Greece. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Georgia Mauad of Las Vegas and Maria Stavropoulos of Athens; two sons, Yannis Stavropoulos of Fresno, Calif., and Stamatios Stavropoulos of Athens; 10 grandchildren.

Grady Sudds, 72, of Las Vegas died Oct. 26 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Louisiana. A resident for seven months, he was a laborer in the construction industry and an Army veteran.

He is survived by three sisters, Jean Stover of Las Vegas and Iberia Mitchell and Armeda McFarland, both of California.

Sandra Sue Vaughn, 36, of Las Vegas died Oct. 27 in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 31, 1964, in California. A resident for 22 years, she was disabled.

Robert Lee Volquardsen, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born March 30, 1934, in Nebraska. A resident for 10 years, he was a outside receiver for Home Depot and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; three sons, Donald Conn of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Kelly Conn of Las Vegas and William Jones of Nebraska; two brothers, Alvin Volquardsen and William Volquardsen, and two sisters, Betty Stewart and Ida Jones, all of Nebraska; and five grandchildren.

Peggy Ware, 59, of Henderson died Monday. She was born March 1, 1942, in Independence, Mo. A resident for 58 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, James; one daughter, Jami of Henderson; one son, Tracy Ware of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Damon Harris of Henderson and John Harris of Las Vegas.

Dorothy Jean Webb, 67, of Las Vegas died Oct. 23 in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 3, 1933, in Montgomery, Ala. A resident for 22 years, she was a hotel porter.

She is survived by one son, Alfonzo Webb of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Anthony C. Weston, 34, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 13, 1967, in Detroit. A resident for 28 years, he was a baker for Sam's Club.

He is survived his wife, Bobbie; two daughters, Danae Smith and Antionette Smith, his mother, Asenath Weston, and one brother, David Weston, all of Las Vegas.

David W. Wilson

David W. Wilson, 55, of Las Vegas died Oct. 25 in a local care center. He was born April 14, 1946, in Tulsa, Okla. A resident for eight years, he was a printer for the Print Right Group.

He is survived by seven daughters, Daneel, Winnona, Stacey, Tracy, Amanda, Sharla and Genifer; nine sons, Jeff, Anthony, Darren, Ernie, Dennis, Travis, Timmy, Kenny and Billy; five sisters, Joyce, Kay, Sunni, Donna and June; and one grandchild.

She is survived by one son, Pak Yong Bok of Korea; three daughters, Yong C. Ray, Yong S. Kruger and Yong A. Vancal, all of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
