Cingular Wireless released new phones that provide Las Vegas customers an "always on" Internet connection at speeds up to 10 times faster than its previous devices.
Cingular Wireless Internet Express technology, known as "2.5G," is a step below the long-touted "3G" or third generation technology that will bring more data and movie-style graphics to mobile phones.
The service allows consumers in Las Vegas, the Carolinas, eastern Tennessee and coastal Georgia the flexibility to toggle between the wireless web and a phone call or text message without having to abandon their Internet connection.
The Wireless Internet Express is only available on the new Motorola Timeport 7389i mobile phones.
