Event scheduled at Las Vegas Academy
The Las Vegas Performing and Visual Arts College Fair will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Las Vegas Academy, 315 S. Seventh St., for students interested in continuing their education in the areas of music, dance, theater, visual arts, graphic design and other related fields.
The free event provides students who are seeking an undergraduate or graduate program the opportunity to meet one-on-one with admission representatives from a variety of colleges, universities, conservatories, studios and summer arts programs.

Tuesday: 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Las Vegas City Hall, 441 E. Bonanza Road; 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Harrah's, One Harrah's Court.
Wednesday: 2-7 p.m., Nevada Palace, 5255 Boulder Highway; 7 a.m.-2 p.m., Basic High School, 751 Palo Verde.
Thursday: 7 a.m.-2 p.m., Basic High School; 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Vo-Tech High School.
Friday: 7 a.m.-1 p.m., Area Technical Trade Center, 444 W. Brooks Ave.; 9 a.m.-2 p.m., the Four Seasons hotels.
Saturday: 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Sun City Anthem, 2450 Hampton Road; 8 a.m.-2 p.m., LDS East Sloan Chapel, 1707 Sloan Lane.
An Internet class
will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the North Las Vegas Library, 2300 Civic Center Dr. The course will be taught by a professor from the Community College of Southern Nevada. Call 633-1070.
The City of Lights Chorus
hosts an open house at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Fellowship Christian Church, 6210 W. Cheyenne Ave. Call 263-4363, Ext. 7.
