Herman Ader
Herman Ader, 77, of Henderson died Sept. 27 in Henderson. A furrier and a World War II Army veteran, he was born Feb. 13, 1924, in Germany.
Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Jack Bass
Jack Bass, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born March 31, 1922, in Philadelphia. A resident for eight years, he was a retired owner-operator of a dry cleaning establishment, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Jewish War Veterans.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Susan Wikler.
He is survived by his wife, Claire; one son, Steven Bass of Las Vegas; two brothers, Herman Bass of Marlton, N.J., and Kenneth Bass of Mount Laurel, N.J.; and three grandchildren.
Services were 11 a.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial followed in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to Judith Wikler Memorial Scholarship Fund, 143 Lost Ball Court, Henderson, NV 89074.
Tommy J. Carver
Tommy J. Carver, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 31, 1936, in Mount Holly, N.C. A resident for nine months, he was a drywall company owner and Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; and one son, Tommy Carver of Gastonia, N.C.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be Mount Holly. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Rosalie Ham Conklin
Rosalie Ham Conklin, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born July 9, 1921, in Georgetown, Ill. A resident for nine years, she was a retired restaurant waitress.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford C.; one daughter, Candace Ham of Las Vegas; two sons, Joe Novak of Pasadena, Calif., and Gary Mark of Palm Springs, Calif.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Saturday in the El Camino Ward-Lindell Chapel, 2245 Lindell Road. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Barbara Eilers
Barbara Eilers, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 22, 1936, in Athens, Ohio. A resident for 21 years, she was a schoolteacher at the First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; two sons, Larry Edwin Eilers of Las Vegas and Todd Andrew Eilers of Cedar City, Utah; two daughters, Laurie Davis and Leslie Gilgen, both of Cedar City; one sister, Linda Zakrzewski of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 301 S. Maryland Parkway. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to First Good Shepherd Lutheran School Library Fund, 301 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
Mart K. Garhardt
Mart K. Garhardt, 92, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 1, 1909, in Noblesville, Ind. A resident for 66 years, he was a retired carpenter, World War II Army veteran and member of Carpenters Union Local 1780.
He is survived by one son, Charles H.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Angelina Giordano
Angelina Giordano, 90, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 26, 1911, in White Plains, N.Y. A resident for 26 years, she was a buyer for Franklin Shops in the New York area.
She is survived by one son, Frank Giordano of Henderson; one daughter, Rosemary Brown of Lakewood, N.J.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Louise Kurimai
Louise Kurimai, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born June 26, 1916, in Waterbury, Conn. A resident for 28 years, she was a retired department store saleswoman.
She is survived by two sons, John Kurimai of Las Vegas and Dennis Kurimai of Granite Bay, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. today and Saturday and 9 a.m. until noon services Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Christopher "Rooster" Lawson, 45, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was born March 21, 1956, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by one daughter, Tiffany Winslow of Las Vegas; two brothers, Willie Lawson of North Las Vegas and Floyd Lawson of Las Vegas; three sisters, Earlie Johnson and Enda Smith, both of Las Vegas and Vella Williams of Seattle; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 9:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Graveside services will follow at noon Tuesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Gertrud E. Ligat
Gertrud E. Ligat, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born July 3, 1932, in Kiel, Germany. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired insurance clerk in the medical field.
She is survived by two daughters, Doris R. Ligat and Marion L. Ettinger, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Lottchen Peukert, and one brother, Bruno Piaskowski, both of Germany; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to a 1 p.m. service Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Christine Levis
Paula Christine Levis, 31, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born April 2, 1970, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a restaurant cashier.
She is survived by her father and stepmother, Ronald and Valette Levis of Las Vegas; her mother and stepfather, Sue and Raymond Temple of Waupaca, Wis.; one brother, Ronald Levis Jr., and one stepsister, Lisa Bertram, both of Las Vegas; and one stepbrother, Gregg Bertram of Henderson.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Bonnie Martin
Bonnie Martin, 68, of Belen, N.M., died Tuesday in New Mexico. She was born Feb. 17, 1933, in Texas. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a homemaker, a member of the Moose Lodge, a board of directors member with Camino Real and a member of the Special Olympics in New Mexico and Arizona.
She is survived by her husband, D.L.; one son, Dennis Martin of Belen; two daughters, Brenda Summers of Las Vegas and Dana Martin of Belen; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
David J. Monzo
David J. Monzo, 68, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 7, 1933, in Philadelphia. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired hotel maintenance worker, a Korean War Air Force veteran, a former member of Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America.
He is survived by one son, Michael Parker, and his mother, Marion Monzo, both of New Jersey; and two sisters, Fran DiPrimio of New Jersey and Ann Fischetti of Pennsylvania.
A memorial service will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Graveside services will be private. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Community Lutheran Church Music Fund, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89121.

Joseph O'Mara III
Charles Joseph O'Mara III, 38, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born May 11, 1963, in Cincinnati. A resident for 15 years, he was a foreman for Gypsum Manufacturing.
He is survived by one brother, Michael O'Mara, two sisters, Gail O'Mara and Karen O'Mara, and her mother, Dolores Busam, all of Chicago; his father, Charles O'Mara II of California; and his stepfather, Jim O'Mara of Henderson.
Visitation is scheduled noon-5 p.m Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Sunday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will private.
