Entries are being accepted for the Rescue Relief Celebrity Golf Classic scheduled Nov. 15-17 at the Siena Golf Club.
Sponsored by the Castaways hotel-casino, this event promises to be one of the better tournaments of the year, with a price tag of $250 per person.
There is an open bar registration on Thursday plus a 7:30 p.m. dinner and show. On Friday there will be an 18-hole scramble with one celebrity and four amateurs, while Saturday's play will be a Ryder Cup-style tournament consisting of nine holes best-ball and nine holes alternate shot, followed by an awards luncheon.
Also, there will be a $20,000 hole in one award, raffles, a golf exhibition with noted pro and comic, Mike Colandro, a putting contest, and of course wining and dining with many celebrities.
For more information and entry application, call Mick Toscano at Siena, 838-4196; Mike Colandro, 218-0333 or Sue Atkinson at Castaways, 385-9145.
Southern Highlands pro Jay Davis led all Las Vegas-area professionals in the 200-player field by finishing second at 136. Davis tied The Legacy's competitive course record in the first round with a scintillating 9-under 63.

Format the first day of play was two-person scramble on the front nine and alternate shot on the back; while the second day was best-ball on the front and combined net on the back.
