The American Gaming Association's "Dinner Honoring America's Gaming Greats," held during the Global Gaming Expo, raised more than $175,000 for the National Center for Responsible Gaming.
More than 650 attended the Oct. 2 dinner in Las Vegas. Honorees included Sen. Harry Reid, entertainer Paul Anka, Park Place Entertainment Corp. and Boyd Gaming Corp.
The casino industry-financed center, based in Kansas City, Mo., funds research on problem gambling. It also works to raise public awareness of pathological and underage gambling.
