The Las Vegas Sun and a local attorney have settled a lawsuit in which the newspaper alleged the attorney infringed upon its copyrighted material.
The attorney, Nancy Quon, paid the Sun $3,500 to settle the suit, according to settlement papers finalized this week.
The Sun sued Quon in June alleging that, for a marketing campaign, she had without authorization reproduced and distributed a graphic created by the Sun's art department that had been published in the Sun.
The graphic illustrated where potential construction problems can occur in homes. Quon, an attorney with the firm Mainor & Harris, specializes in construction defect litigation.
