Wade Leon Albertson

Wade Leon Albertson, 39, of Las Vegas and Pahrump died Sunday in Las Vegas. A resident for 19 years, he was an assembler of modular housing and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his former wife, Bonnie Albertson of Pahrump; one daughter, Brandy Marie Albertson, and one stepson, Michael Cook, both of Pahrump; one stepdaughter, Michelle Adams, and his parents, Warren L. and Barbara A. Albertson, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Brenda H. Lowey of San Marcus, Calif., and Carroll L. Denney of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Carrie Azcarate

Carrie Azcarate, 73, of Las Vegas died Oct. 9 in Las Vegas. She was born April 8, 1928, in Texas. A resident for 36 years, she was a nurse.

She is survived by four sons, Kim Kelly, Eric Kelly, Jerome Azcarate and Roberto Azcarate; two daughters, Patricia Azcarate Barrett and Anette Azcarate; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Merlinda C. Baker

Merlinda C. Baker, 41, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 10, 1960, in Samar, Philippines. A resident for 9 1/2 years, she was a housekeeper at Nellis Air Force Base.

She is survived by her husband, David; two stepsons, Brian and Daniel Baker, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Danny and Alex Gabing, and two sisters, Faith Gabing and Winnie Fernandez, all of the Philippines.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. services today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. 889-3984. Burial will be private.

Charles W. Boyd

Charles W. Boyd, 60, of Las Vegas died Oct. 3 in a local hospital. He was born July 11, 1941, in Maryland. A resident for 20 years, he was a corrections officer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen; one daughter, Tracy, one brother, Frank Boyd, one sister, Barbara Dasch; and one grandchild.

Nicolina Cantelme

Nicolina Cantelme, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Hoboken, N.J. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick; three daughters, Renee Olivero of Orlando, Fla., Denise Derkacs of Los Alamos, N.M., and Patrice Reinschmidt of Las Vegas; three sisters, Angie Branda of Las Vegas, Millie Strangeman of Hoboken, N.J., and Julie Sweeten of Hollywood, Fla.; three brothers, Anthony Buonomo of Ridgefield, N.J., Louis Buonomo of Closter, N.J., and Gene Buonomo of Bergenfield, N.J.; and six grandchildren.

Jack R. Coleman

Jack R. Coleman, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 28, 1924, in Mishawaka, Ind. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired recreation vehicle wholesale supplier and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his companion, Janet; one daughter, Linda Brill of Salt Lake City; one sister, Jill King of Terre Haute, Ind., two brothers, Bill Coleman of Elkhart, Ind., and Ted Coleman of Brevard, N.C.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Sal Cordaro, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 26, 1919, in San Paulo, Brazil. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired slot machine foreman.

She is survived by one son, Lafayette Cordaro of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Martha M. Dunn

Martha M. Dunn, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 21, 1919, in Richmond, Va. A resident for eight years, she was a retired department store bookkeeper.

She is survived by her companion, Stella McIntire of Las Vegas; and best friend, Ruth Jaeger of College Station, Texas.

Marilyn V. Fults

Marilyn V. Fults, 73, of Las Vegas died Oct. 8 in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Denver. A resident for 22 years, she was an aerospace engineer.

She is survived by one son, Ron of Henderson; one brother, Wayne of Las Vegas; two sisters, Dolly of Illinois and Peaches of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Adelina Garcia, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday. Born in Las Vegas, N.M., she was a resident for 47 years.

She is survived by three sons, Richard, David and Tommy; one daughter, Theresa; one sister, Erlinda Martinez; two brothers, Arsenio Sanchez and James Sanchez; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Donald E. Helvie

Donald E. Helvie, 36, of Las Vegas died Saturday. He was born March 3, 1965, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was an engineer for an air conditioning company.

He is survived by his father, James D. Helvie Jr., of Las Vegas; three brothers, James D. Helvie, III, of Santa Clara, Calif., Steven Helvie of Las Vegas and Robert Helvie of South Korea; and two sisters, Julie Helvie and Linda Helvie, both of Las Vegas.

Sally A. Van Ella Houle

Sally A. Van Ella Houle, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born May 4, 1918, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired director for the Blind Center and worked as a social worker for many years.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Vicki Van Ella of Port Townsend, Wash., and Paul Van Ella of Port Orchard, Wash.

She is survived by two sons, Matthew H. Langone of Denver and Anthony S. Langone of Gilette, Wyo., her parents, Frank H. and Patricia O. Wood, both of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Bart Wood of Gilette and Rex Wood of Douglas, Wyo.

Suk Woon Lee, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in San Francisco. She was born Nov. 11, 1930, in Kobe, Japan. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Billy Chung-Chow Ng of San Francisco; two daughters, Winnie Wai-Li Mapel of Las Vegas and Annie Wai-Lan Ng of Cambridge, England; two sisters, and three brothers, all of Hong Kong; and three grandchildren.

Georgia Lee May, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 19, 1934, in Jonesville, La. A resident for 42 years, she was a housekeeper at Caesars Palace.

She is survived by one son, James F. May, two daughters, Marilyn Bowman and Victoria Holliman, and one sister, Ruby Lee Wright, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Glasper Bowman of Louisiana; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

William C. McCormick Sr.

William C. McCormick Sr., 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 24, 1916, in Pittsburgh. A resident for eight years, he was a purchasing agent for Westinghouse Electric for 46 years and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Bill McCormick of Butler, Pa., and Dain McCormick of Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, Lyn Donley and Dr. Karlene McCormick-Lee, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.

David B. Moorman, 57, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 24, 1944, in Flint, Mich. A resident for 15 years, he was a hotel engineer and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carolin; one son, Scott David Moorman of Port Orchard, Wash.; one daughter, Ann Marie Slagle of Fort Lewis, Wash.; two brothers, Robert Moorman of Fremont, Calif., and Phillip Moorman of Davison, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

Carmine V. Pellegrino, 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 31, 1932, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for four years, he was a retired fireman, an Army veteran and a member of the Retired Fire Fighters Association and Model Aviation Club.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; one daughter, Joanne Gomez of Las Vegas; three sons, Michael Loox of Los Angeles and Howard Loox and Lance Loox, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Kinuko K. Sakaguchi, 86, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born June 1, 1915, in Lahaina, Hawaii. A resident for five years, she was a retired office manager and a member of the Las Vegas Sangha, Japanese Culture Club of Las Vegas and the NA Wahine of Las Vegas.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Sakaguchi-Gorion of Las Vegas; one brother, Shoichi Kiyota of Hawaii; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth Wientjes of Nevada; two daughters, Victoria Judd of Kentucky and Denise Diaz of Nevada; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Glen R. Wilson

Glen R. Wilson, 71, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 23, 1930, in Indianapolis. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and Vietnam War veteran honored with a purple heart among 13 medals, and was a member of the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association, F-86 Sabre Pilots Association who flew 125 combat missions in Southeast Asia.

He is survived by two daughters, Virginia G. Amend of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Deborah A. Hammersmith of Reno; three brothers, Leroy Wilson of London, Thomas Wilson of San Jose, Calif., and Robert Wilson of Reedville, Va.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
