Letter: Bin Laden’s goal is unattainable

That monstrous man Osama bin Laden wants to conquer the world and reign over what he thinks would be his "kingdom." I think he will have a whole lot of difficulty in achieving his aim.

He wants to unite the whole Middle East countries and have them all fight against the United States in a brutal holy war. Where he gets the idea that he can accomplish his feat is beyond my powers of comprehension. The majority of Middle Eastern countries are allies of America.

We are weakening the power of the Taliban defenses by bombing their headquarters in Afghanistan. Osama bin Laden and the Taliban are being backed into a corner.
