HELP plans holiday food drive

HELP of Southern Nevada is taking applications for two programs assisting low-income families during the holiday season.

Through its Thanksgiving food basket drive, HELP will collect food from the community and redistribute it in baskets containing all of the items needed for a Thanksgiving dinner.

HELP will also assist families in need of Christmas gifts and toys for their children. Through the Adopt-A-Family toy drive, it will match donors with a qualifying family.

Families must apply at the HELP offices, 953 E. Sahara Ave., suite 208, in the ST&P building.
