Two LV builders lose licenses
Monday, Oct. 15, 2001 | 9:54 a.m.
The Nevada State Contractors Board has revoked the licenses of two Las Vegas contractors, alleging violations of state building laws.
Exteriors Inc. and Christiansen Pools were both accused of failing to provide proper lien releases and failing to disclose to customers the right to request a payment and performance bond.
Both companies allegedly received payments of more than 100 percent for work performed, failed to pay for materials and services, failed to establish financial responsibility and failed to include a license number and monetary limit on a contract.
They were accused of failing to provide a list of subcontractors to customers, failing to provide the estimated date of completion of their projects and failing to comply with notices to correct.
Exteriors was also accused of substandard workmanship, abandoning a construction project, bidding in excess of established license limits and failing to report a change in address
Neither company could be reached for comment.
