Californians dominate in final Havasu races

Chris MacClugage and Jeff Jacobs each grabbed gold medals in the top two divisions Sunday as the 20th Skat-Trak Watercross World Championships concluded on Lake Havasu.

MacClugage, Canyon Lake, Calif., overcame the flu to win the featured Pro Runabout 1200 on a Kawasaki while Jacobs, of San Diego, earned his gold in Pro Ski on a Yamaha.

Also capturing International Jet Sports Boating Association World Championships Sunday were Brazil's Alessander Lenzi in Pro Freestyle on a Yamaha; Tera Laho in Pro-Am Women Ski on a Yamaha; France's Karine Paturel-Schacht on a Yamaha and Dustin Farthing, Stuart, Fla., in both Pro Runabout 785 and Pro-Am Sport on Yamahas.
