A pair of second-half goals in the last 12 minutes of regulation helped No. 21 Brigham Young escape with a 3-1 win Wednesday night as the UNLV women's soccer team gave the nationally ranked Cougars a scare in a Mountain West Conference opener at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
UNLV next takes on Utah in another Mountain West home matchup at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
