Letter: Reagan, Bush armed Taliban

Listening to and reading right-wing pundits, one would think Bill Clinton directed the World Trade Center attack and created the Taliban and Osama bin Laden. They conveniently fail to mention Ronald Reagan and George Bush trained, financed and armed bin Laden and the Taliban.

Under Reagan, CIA Director William Casey ran his own terrorist network, blowing up a mosque in Lebanon, supplying arms to Iran and giving unlimited aid to terrorists (Mujahedin) in Afghanistan. These are some of the ingredients that led to the attack on the World Trade Center.

If some are going to point fingers of blame, tell the whole story. Otherwise shut up and work for the common interest of all people.
