Tennis playoffs to continue on Tuesday

The high school tennis playoffs continue Tuesday, with semifinal matches at four area high schools.

In Sunset Region boys action at Durango, Bonanza will take on The Meadows at noon, followed by Bishop Gorman vs. Palo Verde at 3 p.m. The Sunrise boys tournament at Silverado will pit Green Valley against Foothill at noon, with Silverado and Valley matching up at 3 p.m.

In Sunset girls competition at Western, Bishop Gorman and The Meadows will square off at noon, followed by Bonanza vs. Palo Verde at 3 p.m. On the Sunrise side at Green Valley, Silverado will face Basic at 1noon, with the host Gators and Valley taking the court at 3 p.m.

The championship matches will be played Wednesday at 3 p.m. Individual singles and doubles action begins Thursday and concludes Saturday.

Sunrise and Sunset girls golf action also takes place Tuesday, with two separate 18-hole tournaments going on simultaneously at Silver Stone Golf Club. The first groups are slated to tee off at 10 a.m.
