Stumble‘Popeye’ slot gets approval

A slot machine themed on cartoon character "Popeye" has received the unanimous approval of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, Alliance Gaming Corp. of Las Vegas said. The slot must now be approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission at its Oct. 18 meeting before it can be shipped to the state's casinos.
Alliance secured the rights to the Popeye theme in January from King Features Syndicate, and has already introduced the slot machine at Indian casinos in California.
