Men golfers finish 14th in Georgia event

The UNLV men's golf team saved its best round for the final day of play at the Carpet Capital Collegiate Sunday in Rocky Face, Ga., shooting 14-over par to move into a tie for 14th place.
Host Georgia Tech held on to a big lead to capture the team title while Clemson's D.J. Trahan survived the final round to take the individual crown.
Freshman Ryan Moore (77-78-71 -- 226) broke out of his slump, carding the Rebels' only sub-par round of the event with a 71 on Sunday.
Calvin Kupeyan had UNLV's best score with a 224, while Clark Corbett finished with a 231, Brett Foulds 236 and J.C. Deacon 245.
