Letter: Stop terrorism on streets of America first

With all this talk of terrorism, might I say that we've been under attack by our very own terrorists, right here, on our very own streets. They are called street gangs, and they have caused people to hide in their homes with fear and not let their children play outside.

They have caused innocent lives to be taken and have caused people to be silent, in fear that they might be shot or killed. Many lives have been wasted away just from these terrorists in the past 10 years. Thousands. Most of the killings have been under the age of 18.

If we can't rid our very own streets of our very own terrorists, then how are we really able to solve the terrorist problem? I say, America let's stand together against our own street terrorists. Let's really take back the freedom that has been taken away from us, by our very own children. Let's really put God back into this country by first putting prayer back into schools, in games, in graduations.

Let's discipline our children and learn not to say yes to their every whim, and learn to say no. Disciplining shows our love. Let's encourage our children to respect adults, by first standing our ground as one. Let's spend time with them and let's really show our love to them, real simple, genuine love. Peace within us.
