Currently: A 6-2, 210-pound strong safety, Parker has started all four games for the Utes (3-1, 1-0 Mountain West), making a total of 23 tackles, including 11 solo takedowns and two for a loss. The squad's fastest runner, Parker ran the 40 in 4.32 seconds during the offseason after playing in all 11 of his team's games as a safety and nickel back in '00.

Looking back: Parker was a two-way star for the Spartans, earning the Sun's 1998 Defensive Player of the Year award from his linebacker position and racking up more than 1,500 yards as the team's primary tailback. In the final prep game of his career, Parker rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns to lead Cimarron to a win over Elko and the first of back-to-back 4A state championships.
