Margarete Erna Berei

Margarete Erna Berei, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 24, 1926, in Arensdorf, Germany. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, David Berei of Henderson, Louis Berei of Knoxville, Tenn., and Raymond Berei of Las Vegas; one daughter, Bettyann Love of Blaine, Minn.; one sister, Liese Arms of Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany; and four grandchildren.

Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling arrangements.

Sheldon Keith Cahoon

Sheldon Keith Cahoon, 49, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Laguna Beach, Calif. He was born July 5, 1952, in Cardston, Alberta. A resident for 11 years, he was an electrician and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 357.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; four sons, Calvin Cahoon and Johann Timmer, both of Las Vegas, and Lance Cahoon and Kyle Cahoon, both of Alberta; two daughters, Laura Cahoon and Cindy Cahoon, and one son, Kyle Cahoon, all of Alberta; three sisters, Lavon Schaufert and Sandra Cahoon, both of Alberta, and Anna Mae Fairley of Northwest Territory; three brothers, Dennis Cahoon and Ross Cahoon, both of Alberta, and Rick Cahoon of Nashville, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Friday in the Las Vegas South Stake Center Building.

Jack Cowan

Jack Cowan, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A postal worker, he was born March 6, 1922, in Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his wife, Genieve; two sons, Edward Cowan and Fred Cowan; one brother, Lee Cowan; one sister, Lynta Miller of New York state; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. Friday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Earl Charles Erickson

Earl Charles Erickson, 67, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 22, 1933, in Minnesota. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired main frame installer for the telephone company and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; one daughter, Debi Belier of Riverside, Calif.; one son, Chuck Erickson of Florida; two sisters, Cora Tucker of Carmel, Calif., and Carol Carmer of St. Louis; two brothers, Lloyd Erickson of Bishop, Calif., and Richie Erickson of Riverside; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be noon Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Lorraine Frasure

Lorraine Frasure, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born Oct. 8, 1934, in Hibbing, Minn. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Gene; one son, Terry C. Reid of Chicago; one brother; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Reuben W. Gebelein

Reuben W. Gebelein, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 13, 1927, in Town of Day, Wis. A resident for seven years, he was an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rosarah; and four sisters, Lorraine Olson, Dolores Rickman, Jeanette Kennedy and Virginia Torkildson, all of Wisconsin.

Nancy Genoff

Nancy Genoff, 64, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 25, 1936, in Peoria, Ill. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired bank teller and past worthy matron of the Eastern Star in Gallup, N.M.

She is survived by her husband, Howard; two sons, Paul Shaw and James Williams, both of Logandale; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Esther Gordon

Esther Gordon, 87, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 4, 1914, in Chicago. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Hadassah.

She is survived by two sons, Jim Gordon of Las Vegas and Stanton Gordon of Arlington Heights, Ill.; one sister, Susan Arcus of Tucson, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Alice Faye Lollar King

Alice Faye Lollar King, 22, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 6, 1978, in Las Vegas. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew Dale King Jr., her parents, Ronald and Barbara Lollar, and one brother, Ronald David Lollar Jr., all of Las Vegas; and her grandmother, Rose May Goff of Kansas City, Kan.

Visitation is scheduled 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. services Thursday in Apostolic Church, 1665 Lindell Road. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Lawrence Kramer

Lawrence Kramer, 53, of Las Vegas died Thursday. He was born July 15, 1948, in Milwaukee. He was an orientation and mobility specialist with the state Bureau of Services to the Blind and a recently elected sergeant-at-arms for the Indian Riders of Southern Nevada.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie; his mother, Lorraine; one brother, Kenneth; and one sister, Linda.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. A reception will follow at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the pedigree room of Big Dogs, 6390 W. Sahara Ave. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

James Lancaster

James Lancaster, 61, of Las Vegas died Friday. He was born Aug. 10, 1940, in Fairday, La. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired heavy equipment operator and a former member of Operating Engineers Local 12.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris; one son, James Walker of Las Vegas; six daughters, Celeste Watkins of Texas City, Texas, Tabitha Lancaster of West Texas City, Texas, Natasha Cruz and Brandy Lancaster, both of Las Vegas, Evelyn Fish of Corona, Calif., and Ann Cooks of Galveston, Texas; one stepdaughter, Anna Johnson of LaMarque, Texas; one stepson, Terry Agelis of Huntsville, Texas; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be noon Friday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Bunker's Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Jeremy Lovatt, 21, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Clark County. He was born Jan. 2, 1980, in West Covina, Calif. A resident for three years, he was an Air Force senior airman.

He is survived by his wife, Lady; one son, Jordon Joseph Lovatt of Las Vegas; his parents, Frank and Helena Lovatt, and one brother, Jason Lovatt, all of Baldwin Park, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to noon services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Carson Henry Madison Sr.

Carson Henry Madison Sr., 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 4, 1922, in Wichita, Kan. A resident for 40 years, he was a heavy duty welder at the Nevada Test Site, a section leader of Reader Rock Region for the Boy Scouts of America, local chapter of National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, American Welding Society and Operating Engineers Local 12.

He is survived by his wife, Ethelyn; one daughter, Karen M. Madison of Las Vegas; one son, Carson H. Madison Jr. of Korea; two sisters, Erma Lee McGruder of Los Angeles and Elizabeth McKenna of San Diego; three brothers, Floyd Madison of Corsicana, Texas, Duane Madison of San Francisco and Charles Madison of Los Angeles; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-4 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Harold L. 'Mac' McDonald

Harold L. "Mac" McDonald, 59, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 4, 1942, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for 57 years, he was an electrician and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; four daughters, Lisa Pico of Amarillo, Texas, and Renna Perkins, Janel Bratton and Koryn McDonald, all of Las Vegas; one son, Jason McDonald of Las Vegas; one sister, Carole Wheelwright of Roy, Utah; one brother, Russell McDonald of Salt Lake City; and five grandchildren.

Florine C. Middleton

Florine C. Middleton, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 19, 1918, in Charleston, S.C. A resident for 19 years, she was a medical research technician.

She is survived by one daughter, Elaine M. Simmons of South Carolina; one son, Leonard Watson of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be noon Thursday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will be in New Jersey.

Alfred L. Newbould

Alfred L. Newbould, 73, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 4, 1927, in Marshfield, Ore. A resident for eight years, he was an attorney.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; three sons, Eric Newbould and Phillip Newbould, both of Seattle and Dwight West of Albany, Ore.; three daughters, Maryann Covert of Eatonville, Wash., Nancy Helms of Fremont, Calif., and Pamela Denton of Seattle; his stepmother, Helga Newbould of Dallas; one sister, Martha Nottle of Simi Valley, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.

Charles F. Roney

Charles F. Roney, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 27, 1928, in Oakes, N.D. A resident for 10 years, he retired as an expediter from Boeing Aircraft after 30 years and was a veteran of the North Dakota National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; three daughters, Charlene Spiry of Washington state, Roxanne Lottermoser of Las Vegas and Linda Overbeck of California; one sister, Mary Lavor of Minnesota; four brothers, Don Roney of Delaware, Tom Roney of Florida, John Roney of Washington state and Jerry Roney of Ohio; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Michael Stanley Sankovich

Michael Stanley Sankovich, 53, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 10, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for 18 years, he was a musician.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Sankovich of Toledo; and two brothers, Donald Sankovich of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Dennis Sankovich of Findley, Ohio.

Frederick William Stonner

Frederick William Stonner, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 14, 1914, in Chamois, Mo. A resident for 33 years, he was a retired retail sales supervisor and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Louise; and one sister, Lola Kaullen of St. Louis.

Horace Travis, 68, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 24, 1933, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 48 years, he was a retired boiler room mechanic for a uniform rental company and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Irma L.; two daughters, Susan M. Yancey and Patricia Travis Garcia, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Florence Burrs, Beatrice Hudson and Esther Travis, all of Brooklyn, and Mariam Travis of California; one brother, Benjamin Travis of Oakland, Calif.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Henderson.

Violet A. Voight

Violet A. Voight, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born in Colorado.

She is survived by one son, Marvin Voight of Washington state; one daughter, Delores Garrison of Nevada; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Heinz Weber

Heinz Weber, 81, of Las Vegas died Sept. 25 in Las Vegas. An x-ray technician, he was born Nov. 21, 1915, in Berlin.

Burial will be in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Alice H. Williams

Alice H. Williams, 94, of Boulder City died Thursday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 2, 1907, in Waldron, Ind. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired restaurant manager.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Shuman of Boulder City; two sons, Byron H. Williams of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Douglas R. Williams of Boulder City; one sister, Mary Jane Higgins of Shelbyville, Ind.; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
