Annual holiday luncheon set
The Nevada Restaurant Association will hold its annual holiday luncheon noon-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lawry's restaurant, 4043 Howard Hughes Parkway.
The luncheon will feature entertainment from two youth groups, the Clark High School Madrigals and Sign Design Theatre.

Reading workshop planned for kids
The Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve is hosting Let's Read, an educational workshop for children ages 5-7, 8:30-10 a.m. Monday at 2400 B Moser Drive.
Participants will listen to a story and then create an arts and crafts project relating to the story.
Participation is free. Call 566-2940.
The public is invited to join
North Las Vegas Mayor Michael Montandon and City Council members William Robinson, Stephanie Smith, Shari Buck and Robert Eliason in celebrating the city's "Year 2001 Tree Lighting" at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday at the North Las Vegas City Hall Foyer, 2200 Civic Center Drive, North Las Vegas.
