BOYS BASKETBALL
Valley 48, Silverado 38: Chris Tisdell scored 22 points for the Vikings, while Corey Tyler chipped in 15 for the Skyhawks in the losing effort.
Sierra Vista 54, Moapa Valley 51: Garrett Schofield poured in 27 points as the Lions improved to 2-0. The Pirates got 14 points from Freddie Ortega in the loss.
Green Valley 88, Rancho 35: Jonathan Osborne hit four 3-pointers en route to 20 points and Chris Holm added 14 points to lead the Gators.
Durango 88, Palo Verde 75: The Blazers got 28 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks from Martrel Johnson and 23 points, 10 rebounds and six assists from Frank Brown in the win.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Coronado 61, Eldorado 51: Erica Santigate scored 23 points and Tiara Bowman added 18 for the Cougars. Jessica Sierra tallied 17 and Shanieka Brown contributed 15 points for the Sundevils.
Palo Verde 64, Durango 45: Vivian Ewalefo had 24 points and 15 rebounds and Stacey Pena logged 16 points and 11 assists to lead the Panthers.
Western 49, Cheyenne 19: LaMesha Walker tallied 16 points to lift the Warriors to an easy victory.
Silverado 54, Valley 45: Brittney Turner finished with 17 points for the Skyhawks, while Yolanda Johnson chipped in 13 for the Vikings in the loss.
Chaparral 57, Vo-Tech 28: Brigit deClercq scored 11 points and dished out five assists and Brandi Moore added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Cowboys.
Green Valley 70, Rancho 37: Jennifer Todd scored 23 points for the Gators. Carol Jackson scored 23 for the Rams.
