My slow postseason start has been all but forgotten amidst the simple perfection of back-to-back 2-0 weeks. After 13 weeks and 122 games, game No. 123 looms large not only for the Wildcats and Lancers, but also for me as I try to finish above the .750 mark.
Recent history is on my side, with Cimarron making me look good in the '98 and '99 title games before last year's all-north final. Las Vegas-McQueen is a great game on paper, with opinion quite divided about the expected outcome.
Will Antione White find running room against a rock-solid Lancer defense and lead Las Vegas' oldest high school back into the promised land for the first time since the 1950s? Or will McQueen's experience, icy northern weather and a red-hot kicker keep the Lancers on top for the second straight year?
