Las Vegan Robert Gamez and Bishop Gorman High School graduate Tommy Armour III carded a 3-under-par 69s at the Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., to tie for 35th in the first round of the final stage of the PGA Tour's Qualifying School. Phil Taturangi of Las Vegas shot a 71. The top 35 finishers and ties after Monday's final round will earn their PGA Tour cards for next year.
