Learn the story of Pine Creek
The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area offers hikes and walks free of charge, but reservations are required for all programs, which begin at the Visitor's Center. To make reservations or for information call 363-1922.

The Story of Pine Creek: A program for ages 8 to adult. Learn about the history of the canyon on this moderate 2 1/2 mile hike.
Security guards can honor comrades
Local security officers and other members of the security industry are invited to sign a special tribute book honoring fellow officers who lost their lives in the line of duty Sept. 11 at the World Trade Center, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday in the Palace Station's ballroom, 2411 W. Sahara Ave.
The signature drive will continue during the coming months as the book travels to every state. Call (888) 351-1243.
KLUC 98.5-FM
will present its third annual toy drive 5 a.m.-9 a.m. Dec. 14 in the parking lot of CompUSA, 3535 W. Sahara Ave. The toys donated by Las Vegas residents will benefit Las Vegas Charity Organizations. Call 889-7343.
