St. Viator's plans Holiday Tea
The St. Viator's Parent Teacher Organization and Neiman Marcus will host "A Holiday Tea" and fashion presentation 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Anthem Center, 2450 Hampton Road, Henderson.
The event will include a raffle, gifts and prizes. Tickets are $40. Proceeds will benefit St. Viator's School's Fine Arts Department. For more information, call 732-4477.
Public invited to fire station
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue will hold an open house 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at its new fire station at Buffalo Drive and Wittig Avenue.
In addition to fire units on display and tours of the fire station, Metro Police units, Mercy Air medical helicopter and Valley Hospital's Flight for Life helicopter also will be on display.

Candlelight vigil scheduled Saturday
AIDS Interfaith Ministries is sponsoring a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Metropolitan Community Church, 1140 Almond Tree Lane.
Bishop Katherine Jeffrey Schori of the Episcopal Diocese of Nevada will begin the service. Additional participants will include the Air Force Gospel Choir, the Congregation Ner Tamid Adult and Teen Choirs, New Vision Theatre, the Las Vegas Gay and Lesbian Chorus, First Presbyterian Hand Bell Choir, and large interfaith choir.

Decorated boats go on display at Lake Mead
The Lake Mead Boat Owners Association will stage the annual Parade of Lights at 6 p.m. Saturday beginning at Lake Mead Marina.
Fifty sail and power boats will be lighted and decorated to celebrate the holiday season. They will proceed off Boulder Beach to Hemenway Harbor before returning to the marina.

Vladislav Tamarov,
a photographer and former Russian soldier, will sign copies of his re-released book "Afghanistan: A Russian Soldier's Story," at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ahavaht Torah Synagogue, 2620 Regatta Drive. Admission is $5. Call Sandy Scheller at 460-9000.
The Searchlight Arts and Crafts Guild
will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Searchlight Senior Center, 575 S. Highway. The proceeds will benefit the Searchlight Senior Center.
Our Lady of Wisdom
Catholic Church, 2120 Lindell Road, will host a St. Nicholas Day Celebration 1-4 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. The event will feature a bake sale, games, an appearance by St. Nicholas and candy. Call 870-1267.
