Carlos R. Adame, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 20, 1945, in Mexico. A resident for eight years, he was a furniture salesman.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; six sons, Carlos A. Adame, Luis G. Adame, Rene A. Adame, Jaime F. Adame, and Cristobal Adame, all of Las Vegas, and Gabriel R. Adame of Pahrump; his mother, Paula Adame, and one sister, Gloria Adame, both of Las Vegas; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. services Wednesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Virginia Barry
Virginia Barry, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born May 1, 1935, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Music Makers, Just Sew and Sun City Quilters Group.
She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Meussner of Haddon Township, N.J., and Carole Sheppard of Oaklyn, N.J.; two sons, Joseph Lynch of Colorado and James Lynch of Haddon Township; one sister, Jane Menke of Branson, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled 10-11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Marcia Marie Biegel, 47, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 4, 1954, in California. A resident for 23 years, she was an auto parts saleswoman.
She is survived by her parents, Margaret and Philip Biegel of Prescott, Ariz.; two sisters, Cynthia Lambert of Santa Ana, Calif., and Sharon Humphrey of Costa Mesa, Calif.; and one brother, Steven Biegel of Tarpon Springs, Fla.
Visitation was scheduled 3-6 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd.

Ana Elvira Caldera, 26 days old, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 31, 2001, in Pasadena, Calif.
She is survived by her father, Jimmy Caldera; and her mother, Dana Melgar-Caldera.

Gene Joseph Cattaneo
Gene Joseph Cattaneo, 59, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 17, 1942, in Bayshore, N.Y. A resident for 36 years, he was a former president of the National Spa & Pool Institution.
He is survived by his wife, Nora; one son, Adam Cattaneo, and one daughter, Emi Cattaneo, both of Las Vegas; his parents, Gene and Mabel Cattaneo of Mansfield, Ohio; four brothers, David Cattaneo of New York, Ralph Cattaneo of Severna Park, Md., Steven Cattaneo of Zebulon, N.C., and Jerry Cattaneo of Mansfield; one sister, Lucia Wipreachtiger of Geneva, Switzerland; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be noon Wednesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Victor Joseph Corso
Victor Joseph Corso, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 24, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 22 years, he was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by three daughters, Kassie Benoit of Las Vegas, Antoinette Russello of New Jersey and Barbara Cole of New York; one son, Philip Corso of Virginia; one sister, Catherine Loiacono of New York; and 10 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Yervant Demirjian
Yervant Demirjian, 56, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born May 20, 1945, in Damascus, Syria. A resident for seven years, he was a tailor and a member of the Homenetmen.
He is survived by his wife, Sonia Demirjian; one daughter, Sosy Demirjian; and one sister, Shake Jabourian.
Services were scheduled at noon today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Lawrence W. Dudenhofer
Lawrence W. Dudenhofer, 93, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 1, 1908, in Girard, Pa. A resident for three months, he retired as a boiler engineer from the Erie County School District in Pennsylvania, was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Siebenbuerger Club in Erie.
He is survived by three sons, Francis Dudenhofer of Las Vegas, Russell Dudenhofer of Phoenix and Jim Birch of Chesterland, Ohio; one sister, Sister Mary Eudes of Carrollton, Ohio; and numerous grandchildren.
Services will be in Pennsylvania. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Terri Edwards aka B. Theresa Petramala
Terri Edwards aka B. Theresa Petramala, 61, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 9, 1940, in Walsenburg, Colo. A resident for six years, she was a grocery clerk, a member of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 711 and the Screen Actors Guild.
She is survived by one son, Michael T. Couch of Las Vegas; her mother, Frances Hancher, and one brother, Joe Neal Petramala, both of LaJunta, Colo.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Joseph Robert Espy
Joseph Robert Espy, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday. He was born Oct. 4, 1920, in El Paso, Texas. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired self-employed, heavy-duty contractor and a World War II Seabee in the 48th Naval construction battalion.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine.

William Michael Horan
William Michael Horan, 74, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 1, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired psychology and social studies teacher at Basic High School, was educated at St. Vincent DePaul in Chicago and Preparatory Seminary in Missouri where he earned his bachelors of arts and masters degrees.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; two daughters, Dora Bowen of Santa Fe, N.M., and Vicki Smith of Las Vegas; two sisters, Margaret Scholle and Bernadette Duffy, both of Chicago; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Wednesday with 6 p.m. services in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Lois Marie Hovland, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A real estate agent, she was born Jan. 21, 1927, in Portageville, Mo.
She is survived by her husband, August Bill; two sons, Gary Fuller of Las Vegas and Jimmy Fuller of Bakersfield, Calif.; three sisters, Geraldine Adams, Willene Brooks and Margie Wilson, all of Hot Springs, Ark.
Burial will be in Bakersfield, Calif. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
John W. Johnson
John W. Johnson, 51, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. An operator at Kerr-McGee, he was born Sept. 22, 1950.
He is survived by his wife, Valesta Garrison; two daughters, Tanisha Garrison and Tia Garrison; and three grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Michael King Jr.
Michael King Jr., 22, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 8, 1979, in Ohio. A resident for many years, he was a laborer.
He is survived by his parents, Juanita and Michael King Sr. of Ohio.

Terrence W. 'Steve' Littlefield
Terrence W. "Steve" Littlefield, 77, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 29, 1924, in Tropic, Utah. A resident for 49 years, he was a retired supervisor for a chemical manufacturer, a World War II Navy veteran and a 1950 graduate of the University of Utah.
He is survived by his wife, Clara; two sisters, Monna Lewis of Enoch, Utah, and Marjana Swainson of Yakima, Wash.; and two brothers, Jack Littlefield of Layton, Utah, and Heber Littlefield of American Fork, Utah.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Wednesday in the LDS Ocean Street chapel in Henderson. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Jesus Salvador Marroquin, 31, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 15, 1970, in El Salvador. A resident for six years, he was a dishwasher at Treasure Island and a member of the Culinary Union.
He is survived by his parents, Gavino and Maria Alicia; and one brother, Isador.
Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to 7 p.m. services today at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Marjorie Stevens Mendenhall
Marjorie Stevens Mendenhall, 82, of Las Vegas and Alamo died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 29, 1919, in Utah. A resident of Las Vegas for 37 years and a resident of Alamo for 23 years, she was a seamstress at a dry cleaners.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Steven Mendenhall and Gary Mendenhall; three brothers; two sisters; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William; two sons, Karl Mendenhall of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Roger Mendenhall of Las Vegas; two daughters, Saundra Harris of Alamogordo, N.M., and NaDean Mendenhall of Las Vegas; four brothers, Ross Stevens, Evan Stevens, Clinton Stevens and Carl Stevens, all of Utah; two sisters, Doris Sowby of Bountiful, Utah, and Veola Tanner of Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10:30 a.m. services Saturday in the Alamo LDS chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Carolyn Nagle
Carolyn Nagle, 92, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born July 23, 1909, in Frankford, Pa. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Bruce Nagle of Las Vegas; one daughter, Linda Carol Reed of North Wales, Pa.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Juan M. Racal Jr., M.D.
Juan M. Racal Jr., M.D., 66, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 18, 1935, in the Philippines. A resident for two years, he was a retired general and bariatric surgeon from Chicago, a former instructor at Chicago Medical School, a staff physician at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, former president of the Far Eastern University Medical Alumni of the Mid-West and a pioneer and life member of the Association of the Philippine Practicing Physicians in America.
He is survived by his wife, Florinda; one daughter, Monique Concepcion of Las Vegas; one brother, Hermie Racal, and one sister, Adelina Rayat, both of the Philippines; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
John H. Roberts II
John H. Roberts II, 61, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 19, 1939, in New Martinsville, W.Va. A resident for 14 years, he was a mechanic in the gaming industry and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sang; one stepdaughter, Susie Peringer of Las Vegas; and one brother, Fred Roberts of Florida.
Graveside services will be 8 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

John M. Scolari, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 20, 1920, in El Centro, Calif. A resident for five years, he was a retired tavern owner and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Joselyn Bryan of LaMesa, Calif., and Tami Fanning of Pahrump; three sons, Jon Scolari of Las Vegas, Wes Scolari of Caldwell, Idaho, and Shawn Scolari of Kaycee, Wyo.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Wilbur Lee Sheffer, 82, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born July 17, 1919, in Canton, Ohio. A resident for 55 years, he was a government engineer and law enforcer at the Nevada Test Site.
He is survived by his wife, Minh Chau; three daughters, Cherryl Reimer and My Phuong Sheffer, both of Las Vegas, and Minh Sheffer of Minnesota; two sons, Phuong Sheffer of Utah and Thanh Sheffer of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Merlin Ezra Thurgood
Merlin Ezra Thurgood, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for 38 years, he was born May 16, 1914, in Ogden, Utah.
He is survived by three sons, Ronald K. Thurgood of Mountain Springs and Steven Thurgood and Douglas Thurgood, both of Las Vegas; three daughters, JoAnn Andersen of Beaver, Utah, Shirley Allen Spencer of Ogden, Utah, and Vicki Thurgood of Las Vegas; one sister, Ardell Stoker of Syracuse, Utah; 38 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Danny B.; one son, Warren Brown of Apple Valley, Calif.; one daughter, Martha Franke of Hemet, Calif.; one sister, Martha Briggs of Winston Salem, N.C.; and three grandchildren.

William D. Troxell, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 29, 1923, in Allentown, Pa. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired Army command sergeant major, a World War II and Korean War veteran, a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Bruce Troxell of Seattle and John Taggard and Alan Taggard, both of Las Vegas; three daughters, Beverly Reinerston of Moapa, Gwen Magri of Las Vegas and Lea Roof of Bishop, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Edward Joseph Vieira Jr., 27, of Riverbank, Calif., died Saturday. He was born April 9, 1980, in Las Vegas. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a pharmacy technician for five years.
He is survived by his wife, Brandi Franklin Vieira; one daughter, Kyndle Skye Vieira, and his mother, Candice Maureen Hilton, both of Modesto, Calif.; his father and stepmother, Edward Joseph and Melissa Vieira, and one brother, Justin Edward Vieira of Riverbank; two sisters, Samatha Alicia Ann Vieira of Riverbank and Whitney Camp of Modesto; and his grandmother, Catherine Ann Vieira of Modesto.

George Waterman, 76, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 20, 1925, in Chicago. A resident for nine years, he was a retired fish salesman, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Triangle Club and Good Times Square Dance Club.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lavergne; one daughter, Linda Dover of Brigham City, Utah; one sister, Shirley Banas, and one brother, William Waterman, both of Chicago; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

Joan Theresa Wholihan
Joan Theresa Wholihan, 35, of Henderson died Saturday in Camarillo, Calif. She was born May 29, 1966, in Inglewood, Calif. A librarian for the Henderson District Public Library for the past six years, she attended Notre Dame Academy in West Los Angeles, graduated from Loyola Marymount University, received her masters of library science from UCLA and was a California librarian before working in Henderson.
She is survived by her husband, John; one daughter, Laurel of Henderson; her parents, John and Camilla Picard of Camarillo; five brothers, Steve Picard of Los Angeles, Paul Picard of Los Angeles, Peter Picard of Hanford, Calif., Joseph Picard of Chico, Calif., and Michael Picard of Camarillo; and two sisters, Marie Conway of Simi Valley, Calif., and Cathy Peters of Valencia, Calif.
No local services are scheduled. Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary, Camarillo, is handling arrangements.

Arthur Zonder, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 6, 1928, in Detroit. A resident for eight years, he was a semi-conductor engineer, an Army veteran, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Bet Knesset Bamidbar.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; three sons, Scott Zonder of Pasadena, Calif., Mark Zonder of Glen Cove, N.Y., and Alan Zonder of Simi Valley, Calif.; one sister, Edith Averbuch of West Bloomfield, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
